Knowledge Base: Setting Up Your CSD Digital Key (UniFi Identity)

Welcome to the future of office access! With UniFi Identity, your smartphone becomes your digital key. This guide will walk you through activating your access and adding your digital key to your Apple or Google Wallet for seamless "Touch Pass" entry.


Step 1: Open Your Invitation

Check your inbox for an email from identity@ui.com with the subject: "Invitation to [Your Company Name] Identity".

* Open the email on the mobile device you plan to use for access.

* Tap the Activate Endpoint (or "Get Started") button.

* The link will verify your email and provide you with a specialized "Mobile Config" or a prompt to download the app.


Step 2: Install the UniFi Identity Endpoint App

Once you click the activation link, you will be directed to the app store for your device.

* iOS (iPhone): Download from the App Store

* Android: Download from the Google Play Store

Initial Launch: Open the app. Since you started from the email link, the app should automatically recognize your invitation and load your digital credentials.


Step 3: Add Your Key to Apple or Google Wallet

For the most reliable entry, you should add your Touch Pass to your phone's native wallet. This allows you to unlock doors by simply tapping your phone against the reader even if your screen is off.

* In the UniFi Identity app, look for the banner: "Add to Apple Wallet" or "Add to Google Wallet".

* Tap the button and follow the quick on-screen prompts to confirm.

* Once finished, your CSD Digital Key will live in your Wallet app alongside your other cards.


How to Use Your Mobile Key


* Touch Pass (Best Experience): Simply tap the back of your phone (near the camera) against the door reader.


* Apple Watch: If you have an Apple Watch, the key will automatically sync, allowing you to tap your wrist to the reader.


Troubleshooting & Tips


* Bluetooth & NFC: Ensure both are turned ON in your phone settings. The readers use Bluetooth to "wake up" and NFC to securely verify your key.


* Express Mode (iOS): This is usually enabled by default, allowing you to tap and enter without needing FaceID/TouchID or even waking your screen.
