Consulting/Quote Policy

At Cannon System Design, we value transparency, precision, and professionalism. To help clients understand when a quote is complimentary and when a consulting fee applies, we've outlined our policies below.

Standard Quotes (Under $80,000) – No Charge

We offer free standard quotes for projects with an estimated value under $80,000. These quotes include general pricing, scope, and basic system recommendations.

Comprehensive Quotes (Over $80,000) – Fee May Apply

For projects exceeding $80,000, a quote preparation fee may apply due to the additional time, coordination, and internal resources required. Any applicable fees will be discussed in advance and may be credited to the final project cost upon approval.

Engineering Consulting Services – $210/hour (2-Hour Minimum)

Any request that involves advanced planning, system design, or deliverables beyond a basic quote is considered billable under Engineering Consulting Services, billed at $210/hour with a 2-hour minimum.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Engineered drawings and CAD layouts
Custom AV, IT, or security system design
Rack elevations, network diagrams, and schematics
Coordination with architects, GCs, or external vendors
Preparation or delivery of PDF, PNG, JPEG, or other digital documentation
Technical consultation and value engineering
Wi-Fi Heat Maps and Wireless Site Surveys
- Includes predictive modeling, on-site scanning, and coverage recommendations

These services often require specialized tools, detailed planning, and professional expertise, and are billed accordingly to reflect the time and value involved.
