Low Voltage Install Tech

As a Low Voltage Install Tech at Cannon System Design, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, security cameras, access control, and audiovisual equipment. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in low-voltage installations and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. You will work closely with project teams and clients in the DFW area to ensure installations are completed on time and to specification.

Low Voltage Integration Tech

Dallas / Fort Worth

  • Full-Time or Part Time Position

Position Overview:

As a Low Voltage Install Technician at Cannon System Design, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, audiovisual equipment, access control systems, security cameras, and other technology solutions. You will work on a variety of projects, supporting the seamless integration of technology into commercial spaces such as churches, commercial construction sites, and other targeted industries within the DFW area. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in hands-on, field-based work and is passionate about delivering high-quality installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Installation: Install and configure low-voltage systems, including AV, security, access control, and cabling solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to system performance, wiring, and integration to ensure optimal functionality.

  • Project Support: Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and successful completion of installations.

  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients on-site to address any questions or concerns during the installation process.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, wiring diagrams, and configurations for future reference.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure all work is conducted in a safe and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in low-voltage system installation, including structured cabling, AV systems, security, or access control is preferred but not required.

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, cabling requirements, and equipment for low-voltage systems is preferred but not required.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.

  • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

  • Physical Requirements: Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces, elevated areas, and construction sites. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Certifications: Low Voltage certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the DFW area for installations and client support.
